Island View Resort is located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan near the Straits of Macinac and Sault Ste. Marie on the St. Mary's River. An easy drive from Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, and Mackinac Island. Eight year-round rental cabins overlook the lovely Neebish Island on the down-bound shipping channel for excellent views of the Great Lakes freighters. A boat dock, fish cleaning station, and fire pit are available for the use of our guests.
We also have the Largest Tackle Store in the area featuring a great assortment of Musky tackle, fuel, groceries, live bait, Evinrude and Johnson parts and service, and even hand-dipped ice cream.
We have something for everyone. Sportsmen will love the excellent fishing, boating, hunting, and snowmobiling as well as area golf courses. Nature lovers will love the unspoiled wilderness, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the abundant wildlife including moose, deer, bear, wolves, and birds.
Activities:
Sportsmen: The St. Mary's River offers the best Musky, Walleye, Pike, and Small Mouth Bass in the area. Bring your own boat and use the convenient boat dock or rent a boat for the day or week. Fishing is also excellent from the dock. The largest tackle store in the area is on-site and features a great assortment of Musky tackle, live bait, and supplies. There is also a shop for servicing your Evinrude or Johnson motors or for purchasing parts. Cabins are available year-round for those interested in ice fishing or snowmobiling. Hunters will find plenty of opportunities nearby. Several golf courses are in the area as well as areas for snowmobiling and ATV's.
Nature lovers will love exploring the area and seeing the abundance of wildlife. Moose, bear, deer, wolves and many varieties of birds can be seen. The Munuscong Wildlife Management Area is nearby with three viewing areas in a grassland / wetland complex for bird lovers.
Sault Sainte Marie is only 30 minutes away and features the famous Soo Locks, boat tours, craft shops, and casinos. Sault Sainte Marie Canada features the Agawa Canyon Tour Train for a pleasant trip through the Canadian wilderness. Easy day trips include Whitefish Point with the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Several lighthouses are in the area as well.

Rates & Policies:
Cabins 2 through 7 are $450 per week for 4 occupants plus $30 for each additional adult. Cabins 1 and 8 are $460 per week for 4 occupants plus $30 for each additional adult.
Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash when outside. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their pet.
Hunting & Fishing licenses are available at the tackle shop.
